Visual artist, graphic designer, photographer, and art director based in Kanazawa, Japan. Founder of PRESS Studio, a design and art practice, and nightswimming, a product and lifestyle label.
Working across graphics, spatial design, packaging, identity, and photography — with a consistent gaze across all media.
Practice
Completed master's course at Osaka University of Arts, studying under professor Tomokazu Nishiwaki and Holger Matthies (Germany).
Known for a distinctive visual sensibility and conceptual approach that transcends technique and medium. Work spans advertising, graphic design, branding, corporate and product identity, spatial design, photography, and film — with clients ranging from global fashion and cosmetics brands to music artists and cultural institutions.
Spatial design projects include window displays for Lacoste and Nike, commercial facility graphics for large-scale retail complexes, corporate building graphics for LVMH and SEGA, signage and total design for Ikebukuro Seibu, and international projects including LaLaport Kuala Lumpur.
